Seasonal Porch Decorating in South Orange

South Orange is Maplewood's twin village, a walkable, gas-lit town of grand Victorian homes with some of the deepest, most generous front porches in Essex County. The streets around the village and up toward Montrose Park hold big painted-lady Victorians and turreted colonials built in an era when the porch was the main room of the house, which makes them a dream to decorate.

Those deep wraparound porches let us do real three-dimensional work: garland up the posts and rails, a layered fall display with depth on the steps, and lit trees and greenery at Christmas that fill a generous entry. With the gas lamps and the walkable village, a warm lit porch here has a backdrop that does half the work. We design to the specific Victorian in front of us and keep the palette right for it.

We handle the entire job, sourcing, installing, and coming back at the end of the season to take it down if you add removal. You get the porch and skip every part that is not the porch.
