Seasonal Decorating in Tribeca

Tribeca is the downtown neighborhood of cast-iron warehouses turned into lofts, cobblestone streets, and tall industrial entries. The look here is different from the townhouse blocks uptown, cleaner, more architectural, more restrained, and the decorating has to match. A fussy traditional display looks wrong against a cast-iron facade. A well-proportioned, considered one looks superb.

The building entries give us tall doorways, iron detailing, and big proportions to work with, and the penthouse and setback terraces that Tribeca is known for are genuinely fun to design: an evergreen terrace program with lit trees and garland that reads from the apartment and from the street below. We keep the palette tight and the build clean, which is what this neighborhood wants.

Most Tribeca homes are lofts and condos, so the work is the apartment door, the lobby if the building allows it, and the terrace, rather than a street-level stoop. Your building's rules govern the door and any shared space, so check with the board before you book, and we will design to whatever is permitted.
