Seasonal Porch Decorating in Wellington

Wellington runs on a different calendar from the rest of South Florida, and that matters more to us than the architecture does. The Winter Equestrian Festival at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center brings the season to town from January, which means December and the early spring are when these houses are full, guests are arriving, and the front of the property is being seen by people who did not grow up here.

The properties themselves are large. Palm Beach Point sits on five and ten acre parcels, with the HOA allowing up to twelve stalls on a five-acre lot. Saddle Trail Park is one of the original riding neighborhoods, north and south of Greenbriar Boulevard, with direct links to mapped bridle paths and homes within hacking distance of the showgrounds. Equestrian Club Estates is guard-gated with golf cart and bridle connectivity built into the layout.

Practically, that means long entries, gates, barns, and frequently a second structure worth decorating. The backyard or second area add-on gets used here more than in any other city we serve, and custom work is common because a standard package sized for a suburban stoop does not translate to a five-acre entry. Wellington is Zone 3, $50 delivery, with normal scheduling and any package available. If you want the porch done before the season opens, book in November.

The barn is frequently the better job. On a Wellington property the house entry may be modest while the barn, the gate, and the arena approach are what people actually see and photograph during the season. We will decorate all of it, and we would rather price the whole property honestly than pretend a standard front porch package covers a working equestrian facility. Book November for a display that is up before the January season opens, and consider the January teardown carefully, because that is exactly when you have the most traffic.
